Growing up in Liberia as a ten year old, my neighbor Ma Mary used to ask me to do her hair. She would give me 50 cents because she said I have a gift. She will pray for me to go to America to do hair and make a lot of money because in America people make money for their gifts.

Coming to America. I had very thick kinky hair. The stylist did not know what to do with it. They relaxed my hair. Within a year I looked at myself in the mirror and said if you don’t stop relaxing your hair you will go bald by 50 years old. I started braiding my hair while in college. One of my classmates asked me to do her hair. I braided her hair for 10 hours. She paid me $40 and a $10 tip. That led me to beauty school. When I entered beauty school the products were very damaging for human health. I told myself someday I will develop a safe and healthy hair product for mankind. 

Fast forward after beauty school, I took my ingredients to a manufacturer. They gave me the wrong products and sold my ingredients to a supermarket. I was so hurt leaving my lawyer office, I started crying so hard I told myself I will make my products on my own.They will not win.
