Made by the trichologist who uses it on her own clients
Sayblee Darsale grew up in Liberia, started braiding hair in college and went on to beauty school. Today she runs a salon and hair treatment center in Miami, where she works with clients on thinning, breakage and scalp care. She makes every jar by hand, in small batches, from the formula she uses in her own chair.
- Years behind the chair Hands-on salon and scalp care, not a marketing story.
- Scalp first Every Sayblee routine starts at the scalp, then the strands.
- Handmade in Miami Small batches, Sayblee products since 2011.

Your hair may be growing. The question is whether you are keeping it.
Hair grows at the root a little every month. What you see in the mirror depends on what happens along the way: dryness, breakage, tension and buildup. The Sayblee treatment is a rinse-out scalp and hair mask that conditions the scalp and the strands in the same step, so your routine works on both.
- Scalp Massaged in for 10 to 20 minutes, the way it is done in the salon.
- Strands Worked from the ends to the base to soften and condition.
- Routine Repeated weekly to monthly, not used once and forgotten.
The salon method, at home
These are the same directions Sayblee gives her clients.
-
1Shampoo, then towel dry
Wash with Sayblee shampoo and towel dry so your hair is damp, not wet.
-
2Apply from the ends to the base
Work the mask through your hair and into the scalp until both are fully coated. Thick hair uses the whole jar for one treatment; finer or shorter hair can split a jar into two or three treatments.
-
3Massage, then add heat
Massage your scalp for 10 to 20 minutes. Cover with a shower cap and sit under a hood dryer or heat cap for 20 minutes, or leave it on for at least 30 minutes.
-
4Rinse, condition, style
Rinse completely, condition for 3 to 5 minutes, rinse again, then finish with a Sayblee leave-in for your hair type.
Good to know
- Optional: leave it on overnight.
- Store it in the fridge. Outside the fridge it keeps for about 3 months.
- For defined curls, shampoo and condition first, then apply the mask.
